REGENERATION
Skin and its healing process is an
analogy of counter cultures.
Every minute, every hour,
every day skin cells die and are
constantly getting replaced by new
ones. just like the deconstruction and
re-establishments of society’s norms
and stigmas. The collection looks into
the healing process of the skin, how it
relates to us in our ever changing social
environment and us as an individual
 IDENTIFCATION
Skin does not stay stagnant, just like
society issues are not just left unsolved.
People work towards change to better
our lives and for the generations
to come. For us to achieve this we
shouldn’t be waiting for someone to
take the lead but instead we have
to start taking initiative to fight and
work for the what we believe in. Action
brings about change. Be fearless, face
challenges head on.

CLEANSING
The immune system kicks in cleaning
the wound from bacteria and viruses
much like when our society progresses:
old ideologies and stigmas are
removed, resulting in a clean slate free
of prejudice and discrimination. A fresh
stable platform to work and build upon
is created. We shouldn’t just blindly
listen and follow what we are told or
taught, we should have a mind
of our own to be able to judge for
ourselves the rights from the wrongs.

PREVENTION
In the midst of the healing process
the new skin is delicate and sensitive,
having a bad in-conducive environment
could result in an infection, the
infection would spread if not attended
to. Bad stigmas and ideologies could
be reduced but can never be fully
removed, however we can prevent it
from spreading and causing
more damage.

PROGRESS

The damaged skin grows back stronger and thicker, signifying the new generation being more accepting and open minded with the knowledge passed down from the past to learn from so as to not repeat the mistakes made before but instead to make their own mistakes and to learn from it with a positive mindset therefore restarting the entire process to constantly push society to improve and change.
